There is this one woman, she is well-known in their city but if I am her, I wish I am not. Wonder why? All because she is just well-known for her bad reputation. Well, I do not know exactly who she is or what she did but there must be something about her that made her to be rejected by the people. Yet, this one thing I know: this woman and I are just the same.
We are both sinners. My sins may not be the same as her but yes, we are just the same. People may not know about my sins unlike her, but there is someone who knows every thought, every feeling, every word and every deed of both her and mine- that is God.
Knowing that God is holy and that He hates sins, it is just so hard to come to Him. Who can dare to come to God? This woman dared. Though surrounded by judging eyes of people, burdened by her own despair, with all courage she came to Jesus. She gave all that she could give to Him, she gave Him her best and she poured out herself to Him. Jesus knows every sin she did yet He did not condemn her but forgave her.
Thank God that despite how many and how much our sins are before Him, He is waiting for us to come to Him and so we must willing to come to Him. By grace, with love to last forever, God said, “Her sins, which are many, are forgiven.”
